My students are in an Autistic Support classroom in a Title 1 school within the School District of Philadelphia. They all receive free breakfast and lunch.
My students are faced with challenges in and out of the classroom but they are eager to learn and experience new things.
They all have their own personalities and I do not want them to lose this with not being in the classroom.
Due to the pandemic, my students are going to be learning from home until at least November. Without the normal in-person instruction in the classroom, I am trying to do things that will help them with their learning while they are working from home.
My Project
My students are autistic so being on the computer all day may not be possible for them but if they have these packets, it will help them learn as if they were in the classroom. I will be able to use the TpT gift cards to find activities that will be educational and fun. Then I will be able to use the ink and paper to print things to deliver to the students.
By donating to this project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, but you will also ultimately help to increase their academic achievement.
I am hoping that having this type of work at home will help ease and enrich their experiences with learning from home. Hopefully, it will also make it easier when they come back into the classroom. These packets will be made up of lessons for the students who need help with writing their names to write short stories. There will also be documents that will help them with doing the lessons we are doing online. Some students need more hands-on activities and this will help them with that.
