My Project
Financial Literacy is so important for students to learn especially in this day and age. I would like to have the materials to introduce my Special Education students to the basics. Not only will this give them life skills, but it will help them meet their IEP* goals. IEP goals for math can include solving real world math problems or solving multi step problems/equations.
Access to games to enhance my students critical thinking about money, calculators to practice the order of operations, and standards based materials to guide their skill building journey would be such valuable resources.
These resources will set my students up with not only academic skills, but real life skills while making growth towards IEP goals!
*An IEP is an individual educational plan that is designed to meet students with disabilities specific learning needs. These needs can be in academic areas, social/emotional learning, as well as life skills.
