Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The materials and supplies that I am requesting for my students for the 2023-24 year will allow my sweet students to express their culture and who they are. Some of my students have just began learning English and I need to use every way possible to help them learn a new language! The large loom is for teacher modeling, and will last us for a few years, students will use the cardboard looms to create textiles from their home countries. The canvases, acrylic paint and brushes will be used to create self-portraits by the students. As a TESOL/English as a New Language teacher, I am determined to help my students succeed. My students have so much to say, and through all these art supplies I hope to help them find their voice.
