This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am a passionate Multi-Language Educator(MLE) at Highline Academy Northeast, where I have the privilege of working with a large diverse group of students ( MLLs: Multi-Language-Learners) who are eager to learn English as a second language. Some of my amazing MLLs have special needs.
Over the years, I have witnessed the challenges that my students face in grasping a new language.
While the traditional classroom methods are effective, I strongly believe in the power of incorporating interactive and engaging activities to enhance their language acquisition skills.
It is with this vision in mind that I have created a project on DonorsChoose.org titled "Learning English through Fun Games."
The objective of this project is to provide my students with a unique and enjoyable learning experience that will help them build their English language skills with enthusiasm and confidence. By integrating games and interactive activities into our curriculum, we can make the process of learning English more appealing, motivating, and effective.
The funds raised through DonorsChoose.org will enable us to acquire a variety of educational games, language learning resources, and interactive materials that will cater to the diverse learning styles and levels of my students. The flexible seating and games will not only foster language development but also promote teamwork, critical thinking, and creativity.
