My Project
My students are English Language Learners in high school. I plan to use these materials to help them practice the 4 domains of English: reading, writing, listening, and speaking. We will work on reading skills and comprehension by reading "Percy Jackson: the Lightning Thief" as a class. However, my students have different proficiency levels of English, so some may need to highlight more than others. That is where the transparent sticky notes come in. Students can highlight anywhere they need to using these, without marking up the book entirely.
With these donations, my students can also work on their speaking and listening skills in English.
The headphones with microphones allow them to work on listening and speaking prompts independently. The speakers will help us work on listening exercises together as a class. The more we practice, the better they will use these skills.
My students can also use the transparent sticky notes when looking at their own writing. They can highlight areas where they want to add more or need help, so they can improve their writing skills.
