This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Imagine the possibilities of increasing not only English vocabulary, but content knowledge while putting together a fun, colorful puzzle with your peers. This set of 12 floor puzzles includes multiple opportunities to practice English vocabulary while at the same time, maybe becoming a dinosaur expert or a budding astronaut. Even the older students will love these puzzles, as they will give them the opportunity to show their own expertise in different subject areas. Each puzzle can also be incorporated into thematic learning or center time activities. Don't forget that it allows students to learn while out of their seats! Building a puzzle is a great way to incorporate cooperative learning and conversation.
