Having the students use the plastic drawers to keep their academic materials organized has really helped the year begin smoothly. I also cannot say enough about the chair pouches, which are very sturdy and store their iPads as well as their take home folders, making everything easy to access throughout the day. The mailboxes are perfect for allowing other teachers and staff to leave information for the students without having to interrupt the class. The atmosphere is calm, inviting, warm and peaceful. A parent's first comment was \"wow, I could spend all day in here!\". Many of my coworkers have also mentioned how peaceful my classroom is and have chosen to spend time hanging out as well. Never a fan of harsh lighting and its effect on overstimulated, stressed out minds, I would have to say that simply adding a few lamps and dimming the overhead lights can make a substantial impact. The light covers for the ceiling lights made such a positive, impactful change that not only have I had coworkers ask where I got them and vow to add them to their own classrooms, but I've had students say they wished all the classrooms had them. \r\n I have a strong belief that before one can learn, one must first feel welcomed and comfortable in their classroom environment. Your donation added three new keyboards and stands to our collection, which helped ensure that every student in our growing classes now has access to a piano during their class lessons.\r\n\r\nThis upgrade has made a remarkable difference. With enough keyboards for each student, we've been able to maximize instructional time and create a more focused, hands-on learning environment. Students are more engaged and able to better move at their own pace. They have become more confident in their playing and enjoy playing with their peers. Additionally, my students have become more excited to practice and in turn are creating their own music. Some students have even begun composing their own short pieces, which would not have happened without the addition of the new instruments. \r\n\r\nFor the music classroom, these keyboards are more than just tools — they represent opportunity. Many of our students come from families who may not otherwise have access to instruments at home, and your gift brings them one step closer to exploring their potential as musicians.
