Help me give my students a realistic dramatic play kitchen set and grocery store stand, dress up clothing, international food, and multicultural dolls.

My Project

My students have a basic understanding of food and how we eat our food. They do not understand how the food is prepared or where food comes from. With the kitchen set, I can set up our dramatic play area and show my students how to cook on a stove and wash dishes. I can teach my students how to make a balanced meal and eat using utensils. My students will learn how to organize items in the kitchen area, such as learning what goes in the refrigerator and what can be stored on a shelf. Using the grocery store stand, student can learn how to shop at the grocery and the process of scanning and paying for grocery items. These are all skills they can carry into their adult life.

The multicultural dolls and clothing will teach my students about different cultures and occupations.

The clothing will assist students with independently getting dressed. Students will learn how to put on clothing in the dramatic play center, and this will transfer over into their home life. Students will also learn to associate different clothing with different cultures and occupations.
