Help me give my students a classroom mini fridge and folding table for cooking lessons
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Santaly's classroom raised $330
This project is fully funded
My Project
I work with an enthusiastic and special group of students. My students have severe autism and learning challenges. As they grow older, learning life and vocational skills such as cooking and food preparation becomes especially important for them to be as independent as possible.
My students need a mini fridge to store food that we will be using in cooking lessons, and a folding table to prepare the food to be cooked.
The fridge will allow my students to practice important life skills related to cooking such as preparing food, storing food, creating lists, and following directions. The table will be used in large and small group lessons to set up the cooking supplies and prepare the food. Each week we will go on a walk in our community to buy groceries which will be stored in our fridge and used in weekly cooking projects that my students can complete.
