Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am moving to third grade this year and my new gorgeous classroom with hardwood floor needs a rug. Building a strong sense of community and a classroom family plays a vital role in the success of my students’ learning. Having a meeting place allows for us to hold community meetings each day and problem solve as a team. Gathering together to constructively learn and celebrate successes allows for every child’s thoughts and words to be heard and valued. I have specifically chosen a neutral colored rug to support my students in their learning as studies show that neutral and calming tones benefit student focus and overall sense of comfort.
