This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
We would love to add a carpet in our Calendar and Reading area. We are currently sitting on sit spots to work in this area. I want the kids to feel comfortable and have more of a cushion while we use that area of our classroom. They can sit comfortably while hearing a book read aloud or us going over many mathematical concepts while our Calendar area.
Being comfortable while you learn makes the difference if wither or not a student is in engaged in learning or not.
Working with partners and as a whole will be so much more welcoming in that area with the addition to this carpet.
