My Students

My junior high (and even high school) students are all about having a fun and creative learning environment. We are an extremely small school district in an agricultural town located in Iowa.

Most of these students wake up early in the morning, even earlier than a majority of their teachers, to do farm chores with fellow family members.

Even though they wake up early for morning duties, they still have time for their extra-curricular activities.

It amazes me at how much energy they still have throughout the day after everything they do in the morning and night before!

My Project

My students need comfortable seating that will also allow them to collaborate with fellow classmates during projects and work time.

The black chairs, both adjustable and not, will give students the opportunity to sit at a height beneficial to them.

It will allow them to move about the classroom freely and into groups to collaborate with others.

The sofa will also give students a better way to collaborate, and learn, during class while also relaxing comfortably within the classroom. It has been proven that when students are given options, they perform and focus better in the classroom. By donating to this classroom project you are helping give my students options that will help them focus better in class!
