My Students

I currently have class of 23 students with very different learning styles. My students rely on technology to help them learn. One thing that my classroom is missing is a document camera to enhance their learning. Students love to share their work with others and a great way to do this is to project their work for all students to see. Knowing that they will be showing projects to their classmates, gives them more ownership in their work and students seem to do work to their full potential.

My current students, as well as all in the future, will benefit greatly with this project.

Research has proven this type of learning environment creates optimal learner engagement.

My Project

My students love to learn, but one thing they are missing is a piece of technology that makes it easy for them to share their learning with the rest of the students in the class. A document camera is just what we need. It will be a great companion to the LCD projector that is in my classroom. The students can share their work with all when doing presentations.

Research shows that if students have an audience to share their work with, they will take greater ownership and pride in their learning.

I know this is true of my students in this class this year.

A document camera will also make my teaching more effective. I can project assignments on the board and model how to do the work with the class, rather than writing the worksheet on the board. What a time saver! This will give me more time to teach!
