This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Literacy centers are the building blocks of a strong 1st grade reading instruction, especially for multilanguage learners.
With your support, I would like to create new and engaging centers for my students.
The resources requested will help students practice phonological awareness, phonics, grammar, and writing with purposeful, hands-on activities. Using centers in an ESL setting allows students who learn at a slower pace to spend more time practicing and learning from peers, while students who move a little faster can deepen their understanding of the language.
With your help, my students will have access to engaging centers that promote collaboration, peer learning, and social skills.
