Learning Centers of Math

Help me give my students a mini fridge to save food and a microwave to heat it. Sometimes our school provides students with fruit and I would like to keep it fresh in the fridge for my students.

My Project

I truly find it very exciting to work as a teacher for K5 with distinct children in the class. I see myself as a teacher with a kind heart but strong rules. I want to show my students with my own example that the rules can be different for students and teachers but all of us should respect them.

I consider my students very gifted, they are very different, but at the same time, they are talented and skillful.

Particularly, a fridge, a microwave, and fans will be very useful for my students, because it is very hot in the classroom in August and September and it is almost impossible to breathe. The fridge and a microwave will be truly a wonderful thing to keep all the food fresh and have a chance to heat it for a snack.

My project is a lesson in Math where I will demonstrate a video and explain a new theme for my students «Count to Find How Many». I will organize 4 learning centers to help students get more involved in Math equations: 1- computers (ST Math), 2- the work on the Envision task, 3- writing the numbers from 1-100, 4- the game Pop and Add to 20; where students can work at their own pace and receive additional support or enrichment if it is necessary. Students are motivated because of an opportunity to move around the classroom, interact with different materials, and collaborate with peers. They learn to follow directions, manage their time, and work independently or collaboratively with others, fostering important life skills. It is much easier to move when the classroom has fans. Afterwards, students will have a snack, which I'll garb from the fridge and put in the microwave to heat it.
