My Students
I have a group of fourteen kindergarten students who come to school every day excited and ready to learn. They are hardworking and they always put forth their best effort when completing tasks even in this difficult year. Every day is different and always special.
My school is in the heart of an urban district where there are a variety of challenges young students have to deal with on a daily basis.
However, these students come to school each day ready to face other challenges they may endure during school hours. It is my hope that I can give them what they need in the classroom setting.
My Project
My students come from homes that do not necessarily have the ability to provide early learning prior to coming to kindergarten. These materials are a FUN way for my kids to engage in their own education. I have found that my students love play-doh and we can utilize the play-doh to have them SMASH out their sight words that they are learning. The word puzzles and building cards will help by students make CVC words.
Each item that I have chosen will be used for one on one learning as well as independent learning in a Hybrid setting.
My students are striving to master their letters and sounds. This project will help create COVID safe learning centers for my room.
