This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I have been blessed to to be able to teach the wonderful students in my class. Even though we are in a very high poverty area, they still have hopes and dreams of exploring the world and all that it has to offer! So many of my students have never left the limits of our little country town. So I do not take my job very lightly. They are awesome and deserve every opportunity to succeed! Where there is curiosity, knowledge blooms!
My Project
I use my white board everyday in whole group,small group, and when making videos. The magnetic manipulatives will add so much to my lessons. They will allow me to spend more time on teaching and less on trying to draw on the board.
I teach math so the protractors/compasses will help out so much!
I have some in my classroom but they are old and my students say they smell funny. Imagine how distracting that is to 5th graders. The less that they have to distract them, the more we can accomplish.
