My Students

We were so excited to have a new Active Board installed in our classroom. We found out that without an updated computer, we cannot use all of the wonderful components that go along with this new technology. We would like to access flip charts, videos, learning tools, math games and more.

We are a 4th grade class of 29 students Oregon.

The students in our room are very excited to learn through technology and hands-on activities. Our classroom consists of a lot of class clowns and a lot of intelligence. We were able to get an Active Board, but couldn't afford the computer to go along with it.

My Project

An Active Board is an interactive white board that students can write on, make changes, watch educational videos, display student work, play educational games, etc. Without the computer, it makes it nearly impossible to be able to properly use this amazing technology. We are currently learning about the government, but we were not able to watch some of the debate highlights, play "The Branches of Government" game, or even create PowerPoint presentations to go along with our unit.

With the pressure of the 4th grade test just a couple months away, we are trying to grasp every concept we can, explore all the "why" questions that come along with learning difficult concepts, and apply them to our everyday lives.

Please help us to make our 4th grade class exciting by incorporating technology into our everyday learning experience.
