Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

I service 21 self-contained students with another teacher. We are in need of supplies. Our students consist of students with autism and intellectual disabilities. We want to create a more hands-on environment, one that focuses on valuable life skills. Their public school education is coming to an end. We want to provide them with the tools to be successful in life. Unfortunately, we are in need of financial assistance to do so. Our goal is to prepare our students for the future.

My Project

My students love to be interactive! These games and activities will make this possible. Moving enhances the learning environment. My students retain information by being interactive. The use of interactive games and the use of mnemonics are alternatives to the traditional lesson. These lessons have many modalities geared to a more enriched experience. I keep my students engaged and invested in our class. These interactive games will benefit our class tremendously.
