Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The items I am requesting will help my students who have a hearing loss learn body parts in a fun and multi sensory way. The mirrors will help them by looking at their own body part as I name it. Using the pin art toy will allow the students to explore a body part in a fun way and encourage them to participate in the body part lesson. The puppets will incorporate diversity while still learning body parts. Having faces that students can manipulate will allow them to identify where the correct body part goes and the part itself. The faces will also help in teaching the students about emotion and the physical characteristics that go with each emotion. It will allow the students to recreate the emotion and for them to see it in the mirrors. My goal for this projects is for my students to learn body parts as well as emotions. My students are special because they display an eagerness to learn everyday despite any challenges they face.
