Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I teach 23 second graders in a Title 1 school. These students have been greatly effected by virtual learning and lack of learning opportunities that in person school provides. They have great technology knowledge, but they lack in working together in small groups. My students need more learning with partners and centers. I need to be able to meet my students' needs in small groups and these resources will help provide the time needed to meet with every student, every day.

My students need help with organization to create clear and readable learning evidence.

They need materials that will make learning the content easier, which is why I am requesting 2 types of math white boards. So much time is wasted on how to set up the problem and when it doesn't look correct then information gets confusing and learning pauses for redirection.

My students need help with basic math facts so I am also requesting math games to practice those skills and have fun learning. Plus, before COVID-19 Science standards were changed and I am requesting materials to help with visualization and increase the rigor of learning.
