My students need proper seating in the classroom, and with the tables and chairs donated by you, my students can comfortably learn their Reading and Writing skills at the tables which you will provide.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are special because not only are they attending an AVID campus, but they are also a part of the ICLE Model School community. The student's abilities range from Level One ESL to PreAP, and this lends itself to a very high functioning classroom.
However, our students had to start the school year with some major obstacles ahead of them besides attending a Title I school, many of their teachers lost everything due to the hurricane.
We are currently getting a new roof, but we have lost desks and seating areas for our students. Some of my classes don't have enough seating, and I have to borrow from other teachers just to make sure everyone is seated when the instruction is taking place.
My Project
HMS suffered some damage from Hurricane Harvey, so with your help, the students can be seated at brand new tables instead of sitting in broken and borrowed desks.
With the purchase of new tables and chairs, my students will be able to work without worrying if their weight can be supported.
The students will be seated in such a way that they will be able to be grouped easily, and the overall look of the classroom will improve.
Being able to sit at a table will enhance the students' ability to work in stations, have room to spread out and work on their writing, and enjoy their classroom environment.
