This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students need to have more flexible seating and standing choices and materials so they can achieve success in a comfortable classroom made for learning.
My students will be able to work better if they can stand more and sit comfortably throughout the day Remaining at their desks with the desk additions for standing will make transitions more efficient as students will not have to move to another table and transport their materials.
This will help them remain focused while working.
Having materials to help them learn organizational skills will help them remain calm knowing they have what they need. They will especially be able to use the notes in their notebooks to show that they can use their resources when necessary and to study. This will help them focus on learning and not trying to find the materials and resources that they need.
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
