My Students

My students are 4 year-olds from low-income families and will be going to Kindergarten next year. Many of them live in apartments and do not get much time outside. They travel to our school on a bus. They spend their day with us and eat breakfast, lunch and snack at school. Many of them are from single-parent households and do not have a working parent, and many have siblings. They love to be hugged and appreciated. They love school. They love to learn. I try to give them the best education I can with learning, laughter, and lots of love.

My Project

The children in my classroom were just learning to write their names and leaning their alphabet when we were told that we were going remote. With magnetic numbers and letters and whiteboards we will be able to continue learning with our teacher with our own supplies. The markers will help us to continue writing our names, alphabet, and numbers.

The Dr Seuss books will help us to continue reading while not at school.

We will learn about how a book works and about rhyming words which are so important in literacy.
