My school serves students in grades PreK-5. The school is in a large school district with increasing budget cuts.
It takes a big heart to teach little minds.
I teach 18 at-risk Pre-Kindergarten students. My students come to school ready to engage. They are very happy, curious and active children who are a breathe of fresh air each day. They are a diverse group of students who are developing their social-emotional skills, language, cognitive and physical skills.
My Project
My students will receive a fun and engaging Letter Identification Family Engagement Pack which will help foster their language and literacy developement.
Students will get a step-step instruction card in english and spanish that will be easy for parents to read, they will get a letter game board with 52 letter fish tiles that they will use to identify letters, a sand timer to use to time how fast they can name letters , and two drawstring bags to keep the letters in.
These come in a vinyl storage bag.
These packs will be used at home with their families. Students will practice naming letters, hunting letters and writing their names.
