My Project

Students in our special education classroom enjoy building and are very focused, individually and with their peers, while playing with LEGOS and Lincoln Logs. Our supply of LEGO and Lincoln Logs are limited, and the children would benefit from a supply of LEGOS.

LEGOS and Lincoln Logs can help students build important friendships, emotional and creative skills through hands-on play.

Students who play and build together learn important friendship skills, such as taking turns, working as a team, communicating, and developing language skills. LEGOS and Lincoln Logs help students emotionally by teaching them to manage frustration when structures fall apart, and building structures can help them feel independent and confident. Creativity also helps students experiment with colors and patterns and encourages imagination. Overall, LEGOS and Lincoln Logs enhance classroom theme management and reduce challenging behaviors through fun and meaningful activities.
