This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
We are requesting a listening center for our classroom.
Through listening they can learn about anything that interests them, gain academic language, and have fun!
The goal is to give students access to books above their reading level. This is an engaging way for them to hear language modeled throughout the year. The differing levels of the kids can be scaffolded by listening to fiction and non fiction books.
My students are special because they truly enjoy learning and are working hard every day to learn academic language in English.
