Learning and Exploring Through STEAM

My students need STEAM learning supplies to explore science critical thinking in small groups to build collaboration, teamwork, and knowledge.

My Students

My students face challenges that others may take for granted each day. Ninety-five percent of our students are on a free or reduced-price lunch program. Many of our students receive food backpacks to go home with them each week.

Our students are so much fun with amazing personalities!

They enjoy learning and make our jobs exciting. Each day, they are improving their academic ability. We challenge them to be the best they can be.

I'm blessed to work with these amazing students every day at our school.

My Project

These resources will allow my students to experience so many new, hands-on learning concepts utilizing STEAM. Students will be able to work in small groups while exploring science concepts, critical thinking, engineering, math, and so much more. This project would allow my students to have STEM kits where they could work in small groups to create real word simulations. One of the kits is a surviving the quake engineering kit, where students work together to engineer a structure to withstand the simulated quake.

Students will work in their groups to complete hands-on science experiments, such as withstanding an earthquake.

Students will read about, create, and engineer how to withstand an earthquake. This will allow my students to develop their critical thinking skills and work together to formulate and develop plans, construct, and test their designs.

By letting my students explore their learning in these creative ways, I am fostering a way for them to gain experiences in many new and exciting ways.
