This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

I teach in a low economic school.
Many of my students and families struggle financial. I provide a safe and welcoming environment where my students feel safe and enjoy coming to school. Many times my classroom and school is their only safe environment.
My Project
Many of my students are reading two grade levels below. We are working on improving their reading level so they can be at grade level by the end of this year. Reading comprehension and phonics resources will help them and I reach their reading goal.
With your donations the students in my classroom will have resources and the opportunities to practice and improve their reading.
They will work in small groups and teacher groups to master their reading level.
