My Students
"With knowledge, you explore fascinating wonders beyond your dreams," is one of my class' driving force as they learn new things everyday. We have Pre-K and Kindergarten students in our classroom who are being serviced in one of our school's special education programs. Their inquisitive minds is a sight to behold as their eyes glow with interest when they see new things, learn enriching information, and participate in "critical-thinking" hands-on activities.
Our scholars' fervent and dynamic spirit enables them to improve their personality and outlook in life as they navigate towards being self-reliant in dealing with everyday challenges they encounter.
Although each of them have their own unique distinctiveness, their curiosity is their catalyst in achieving success in all their endeavors.
In our school, our students learn the basic foundations needed in their academic life, from reading, math, social studies to the marvels of science. It is in these fields where a tablet and other manipulatives will be a beneficial addition to their scholastic pursuit.
My Project
The manipulatives, namely the alphabet blocks, the counting nuts, and the magic writing board, together with the tablet, will be helpful for my Pre-K/K students, in our special education programs during this challenging times. The number and alphabet manipulatives will enable majority of my students to learn the basic concepts of math and the alphabet through constant drills at home, with parental guidance, and teaching via remote learning from their teacher. These colorful hands-on blocks and materials will stimulate my student's interest in accomplishing their activities, and at the same time having fun in doing it. The writing pad will also assist my students practice and enhance their writing skills. The tablet will be a valuable instrument to further benefit my students as they try to access and explore educational websites, with constant supervision, to enhance their knowledge.
Learning is essential for Creativity to prosper.
Each of our students have different pace and style in learning. With proper direction and appropriate instructional strategies, together with other vital supplemental supports, I am confident my students can reach their potential capabilities.
