Help me give my students science tools, dramatic play toys, manipulatives, and block center vehicles to support their learning and social-emotional development.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I have a diverse group of young explorers who are learning and building through playing the foundations they need for future academic readiness.
Each day, my young students are learning with each other through play and engaging in self-selected activities that support their social and emotional development, language and literacy, cognition, and physical development.
My Project
Children are active learners who develop language and knowledge of the world through play, hands-on learning, and positive interaction with each other. These materials will allow students to learn socialization, independence, sharing, conflict resolution, and explore the world around them through play.
The dramatic play materials will bring out the children's imagination.
Using props and tools, they create the setting for their play and cast themselves into a role different from their everyday self. The manipulatives will facilitate children's development of fine motor skills and coordination, and the math tools will support children's learning about size, shape, weight, length, height.
