My Students

Almost every day, our classroom has 100% attendance. This is a huge success for a Title I school where we have a large population of our students who receive a free or reduced-price lunch. My students walk into our classroom ready to learn, energized, and excited to share with their peers.

Because we are a Kids at Hope school, we believe "All children are capable of success, no exceptions!" We strive to create well-rounded students in all content areas and focus on building strong character traits and leadership skills that students will need to have in their future.

My Project

My class will use these Who Was? books to learn about famous people. These books are engaging to the students with how they are written, and the illustrations are presented in a creative and fun way.

To get students excited about Social Studies, they need resources that are current and relevant to them.

These books will not only give them information for research projects, but there are lesson plans that go along with these books. The lesson plans are free, we just need to books!

For extension activities, these books will give students a resource to create their own Who Is? book.
