This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

We have had a great semester so far opening up our Illustrative Math in class. Our next topic is how to find the volume of a cylinder, cone, and sphere and how they are interrelated.

The students need hands-on tools to help them see and experience the math that we are studying in class.

The geometric solids will help students to visualize the formulas for volume and surface area. The calculators will help students analyze cylinders and cones of different dimensions, for example.

With your support, we can make mathematical concepts more accessible to our students.
