My Project

The first part of my project is for a Time for Kids subscription for my classroom. The Time for Kids newspapers will allow my students to utilize their nonfiction reading strategies while learning about current events in our community and world. The second part of my project is for an Illuminative Globe which will be used during our Geography units. The globe will help students understand how our state and country is part of a larger global community.

Both resources are important in helping students understand their role in a larger global community.

Through geography and current events, my third graders can learn how the global community works and become future participants in making the world a better place.
