Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
For the past three years, I've been the General Education teacher in an ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) NEST classroom. Teaching in this environment has truly opened my eyes as to what great education can be. I've learned how to appeal to a variety of learners with very diverse needs, and always aim to make learning fun and enjoyable!
“Teacher I can’t wait to read!,” was something one of my students told me on the first day of school.
This child’s attitude among the other positive attitude from the rest of my class motivates me to be help them become successful in their goal-that they are already thinking about at such a young age.
Everyday my students come into school with a smile, ready to learn and excited to find out what we are going to do that day. I would like for them to continue to be proactive in their learning by providing them with tools and skills to feel successful.
I hope that my projects on Donorschoose allow my students to have an even more fulfilling education. Thanks in advance for all your support!
My Project
I will appreciate you supporting this project for such an amazing group of kindergarten students. The contribution made towards new Chromebooks will be helpful, engaging and motivating for students. It will not only reinforce the academics taught in class but it will also give them an opportunity to learn about the world through technology in a safe and resourceful way.
Students have expressed how much they love coming to school and have even expressed their enthusiasm to learn.
As educators we want to keeping the learning innovative and thoughtfully planned out. In a room full of diverse learners I know that the introduction of new Chromebooks will foster their enthusiasm to learn and practice new valuable skills in preparation not only for this school year buy the rest of their educational years to come.
