This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Scholastic News is a great way for students to learn about current events and people in the world around us. Many of my students have limited exposure to the larger worldview and these magazines will supplement our literacy and social studies lessons to include these topics.

This subscription to Scholastic News will provide my students with weekly news articles, videos, and activities about current events as well as topics of interest to them.

These high-interest texts are a great way to help newcomers to our community learn to read in English and to learn about our culture. I look forward to sharing these texts with my students!
