My Project
Scholastic News will be an amazing addition to the textbooks and classroom libraries in my upcoming first grade class. The monthly magazines offer a variety of engaging articles that contain rich vocabulary, content and photos that are interesting for my students.
The articles in the Scholastic Magazines offer students the opportunity to learn and make connections to the world outside their neighborhood through current events with different cultural people and their heritages.
The magazines also offer the teachers additional resources online and off-line and the opportunity to dig deeper into the content with cross curricular learning and engaging discussions.
After supporting learning in the classrooms, the magazines go home to be re-read, which continues to build their fluency and vocabulary. The magazines also positively support communication between school and home and parent engagement, when students eagerly share what they talked about in class.
