My students live in a rural community of about 2,000 residents. They may not realize it, yet, but they are growing and learning in a very supportive and tight-knit community that cares about each of them.
In my classroom, I have 18 kindergartners of varying social, emotional, and academic needs.
They are creative, clever, and spontaneous! They have so much excitement for school and learning; it makes my job so enjoyable! My students are unique individuals with unlimited potential. It is my job to ignite their excitement for learning so they can reach their full potential!
My Project
Kindergarteners are naturally curious and have a love for learning new things. My kids would love to have the weekly non-fiction magazine Let's Find Out to discover and learn about new things.
Let's Find Out is great, because it is a weekly magazine that covers a variety of non-fiction topics that my students are interested in including: financial literacy, traditions around the world, plants, animals, holidays, and much more.
Many students come to school mostly familiar with fiction stories. It is important that they learn to read and learn from non-fiction as well. Additionally, this will be a magazine that students will be able to take home and read with their families. It is important for kids to see the connection between home and school; this magazine will help kids to make that connection.
Thank you for supporting our classroom. We can't wait to learn so many new things through the magazine Let's Find Out!
