Help me give my students penguin ice blocks, a weather and seasons instant learning center, season sensory tubes, magnetic building blocks, a plant life cycle figures, chicken life cycle books, a magnetic shape maze, and storage bins.
I teach 20, curious and energetic five year olds in the East Bay area of Northern California. All of my students come to school with different backgrounds and learning experiences, but each of them come to school ready to learn and explore the world around them. As their teacher I want to give them as many learning experiences as possible to help them grow and develop a love for learning.
I want to give my students inside and outside learning resources including penguin ice blocks and magnetic blocks for the outdoor sensory table, plant life cycle figures, season sensory tubes, a complete weather/season learning center, books about the life cycle of a chicken, storage bins for our outdoor play toys and a magnetic shape maze.
Having the the magnetic shape maze, different types of blocks for the sensory table will provide my students more opportunities to express their creativity and work on developing fine motor skills. The plant life cycle figures will help aid students to see what happens as a plant goes from seed to flower. The season sensory tubes and complete learning center will help students have hands on learning experiences to better understand those concepts. Books about the chicken lifecycle will provide me with age appropriate reading materials for carpet time to go along with hatching chicken eggs. Lastly, the heavy duty storage bins will be so helpful to store and organize outdoor toys.
