Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Living in a city, students need more connections to nature. Students need to understand how our world works and how to care for it.
A variety of beautifully illustrated picture books filled with facts about bees, trees, and the environment added to our class library will help to build their understanding of nature and why it is important to take care of the earth.
Through books, children have access to learning about concepts and ideas they do not get to experience day to day. They love read aloud stories and enjoy discussing their learning and connecting it to their lives.
With a collection of books to bring nature into the classroom, our class will bridge a gap and grow in appreciation and care for our environment. This project will benefit students and the future they can shape.
