This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our students are hardworking and outgoing. They come from a low income high violence part of town and do not get to experience many opportunities. The students are eager to learn and would love to try new things to expand their educational journey.

My Project

Our students love to complete hands on activities. Students have had a variety of experience with the justice system either good or bad. I would love to give our students a positive experience learning about the criminal justice system!

Students will learn about the criminal justice system with hands on activities.

This project will provide the materials needed for the curriculum as well as hands on with activities such as fingerprinting, and how the fingerprinting process works. The books needed for the curriculum change every year to include the newest changes to our laws and procedures within the system. These books are important for students to research different case laws, as well as being able to utilize for different research projects throughout the school year. It is important to know how to locate specific codes and laws, as well as where to find those different laws. By providing the students with these resources, the students will have access to a great learning experience within my classroom.
