Help me give my students famous inventor STEM kits along with other kits so they can design, construct and create to learn more about how these inventions were made.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My awesome second graders come from a very low socioeconomic background with the majority falling below the poverty line. They are mainly English language learners (80%) and many of them live in homes which house multiple families under the same roof. The median income is well below poverty level, with some being homeless. Some of these seven- and eight-year olds have the sole responsibility of taking care of their younger siblings while their parents are working, with many parents working more than one job. Others are latchkey children.
Our school is Title I and 90% of the children receive free or reduced-price breakfast and lunch.
In addition to the many challenges that these hard-working students face, they also are coping with the fact that our school is situated in a high crime area with frequent gang activity. My children have extremely limited access to technology in their homes, yet with all these obstacles, my students come to school with much enthusiasm and an eager desire to learn.
My Project
Our reading series focus on famous inventors like; Thomas Edison, Alexander Graham Bell, The Wright Brothers and other great inventors in history. It would be great to apply this knowledge through STEM based hands on activites. This is why I am asking for a set of Famous Inventors Problem Solving STEM Kits. After reading about some great famous inventors, the kit will allow my students to use the pieces and step-by-step design cards to plan, build and test one of the inventor’s important creations; a telephone system, a telegraph or a motion-picture viewer. As students test and streamline each design, they will sharpen their problem-solving skills and discover the thrill of invention! Next, I am asking for Design & Play STEAM Planes Kits. The students can create their own fast-flying gliders by integrating STEM with arts & crafts. Finally, I am also asking for Little Red Riding Hood problem solving STEM kit to go along with our fairy tale unit study. The kit includes a story card that presents a dilemma for students to solve. The scholars have to plan, create and test basket designs to hold Little Red Riding Hood’s apples! My goal is prepare my students while affording them ample opportunity to pursue STEM related careers. Will you help me by bringing these STEM kits to my classroom so that learning can be fun, exciting and engaging for all?
