Learning about entreprenuership through creativity
Help me give my students an outlet to express their creativity. A Cricut can be used to cut many items like paper and vinyl. The heat press will allow us to make school shirts and other items.
I am the School Nurse at a K-8 school. We are located in the Kensington section of Philadelphia. We are a small school in an area where 90% of our families live below the poverty line. Despite this, we have great students who love to learn and are very eager to express their creativity.
My goal is to give students a safe place and encourage their creativity.
With their creative minds, they will be learning about profit, loss, and entrepreneurship.
My Project
I have observed how creative these students can be when they are in the right environment. My goal is that an after school craft group will encourage their creativity even more. I hope the students will love being creative as much as I do.
They will learn about profit and loss and entrepreneurship by designing, producing, and selling items to raise money for the school.
There are endless things that students can make using a Cricut and heat press. Items will be available in the school store for students to purchase items using points that they have earned.
