My Students

My transitional kindergarten students bring energy and joy to our Zoom meetings.

Their smiles and enthusiasm make my day every day, and it is a great reminder to me why I became an educator.

I love my transitional kindergarten scholars!

My Project

The opportunity to tackle real world situations through literature is powerful. I read to my students multiple times during the day, however my resources needs a boost of great picture books with meaningful messages that teach kindness and tolerance. We need books that will get students thinking about others and the power they have to make a difference.

It is my hope that by planting the seeds of kindness and tolerance in my young students through literature and discussions that the culture of caring and kindness will blossom into a community of students that will become powerful thinking caring people.

What better way to help build a caring community than through creating an environment of empathy and respect for one another than through rich literature!
