My Project
We will use these books (Climate Change for Kids) to conduct teacher-led ,whole-class, and independent text-to-self activities. We will read portions independently or along with the teacher (depending on our reading level) and then take comprehension quizzes on them. Then, as a class, we will discuss the deeper context of the text. Topics included will be questions such as details/facts about climate change, how it effects out environment, and what we can do to change things...
As I analyze this year's student data, comprehension is where my students are lacking.
Being able to conduct a whole class comprehension challenge will give my students the skills they need to prepare them for the ever-changing statewide assessment.
