My Students
My students are varied in their background and beliefs. We are a Title 1 School with all of the students eligible for free breakfast and lunch.
This next year will be a new adventure for us I an creating an elective for the 7th grade students.
I want to teach about the history, the geography, and the geology of the state of Arizona. This year the 7th grade learned about rocks and the mountains that surround the great city of Tucson. So, next year I want to venture out to the entire state. I want to have a unique class that will get them interested in the world around them and interested in what is in their own back yard--Literally and figuratively.
My Project
I am so excited. I get to teach an elective this year--one of my choosing. We live in Arizona. Most of the students know little to nothing about our great state. I want to change that.
I will use these books to help make my lesson plans as well as letting the students look at the books and use them for reference.
I think learning about the geography, geology, and history of the Grand Canyon State is exciting. Arizona is a great place to live and learn. Hybrid and Remote
