Help me give my students the supplies they need for a successful garden. The composter will help them to see and understand how we can reuse vegetation to help create new food and keep the cycle going.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I work with a small group of students who grow garden vegetables and fruits in our school ecology center. We grow vegetables, we have fruit trees and are about to embark on creating a remembrance garden for students and teachers who have passed on.
Our main goal is to grow fresh vegetables and fruits and then to open a farmers market.
The market will teach the kids business skills, improve math skills and encourage our community to support the students endeavors.
My Project
The composter will help the students learn how to reuse and recycle plant life to keep the cycle of growing new plants going. Our books and video will help us to understand how we can make a difference in our community and possible teach other kids and schools to do the same. We can make a difference, it just takes us taking the first step.
We plan to grow our gardens, create and run a farmers market from our campus to learn a business, and help feed our community with healthy, unprocessed foods.
They will be learning how to grow and maintain a garden so they can continue to do so after they have left our campus and make this a lifelong experience.
