Learning A Skill: Taking a Blood Pressure

My students need practice in order to comprehend anatomy and physiology. These programs and the model will help them practice as well as visualize the human body.

My Students

The students in my classes aspire to enter the health care field as nurses and doctors. They are learning the skills to become nursing assistants. My students will remember that with practice and study all things are possible.

The students in my classes come from many countries and speak many languages.

Our school is a large, inner city urban school with two buildings on the campus. Most of the students are learning English as a second or third language and are very interested in entering a health care career in order to help other people.

My Project

The materials will help the students with visualizing the concepts that they cannot see on a real body. Understanding the relationship of the organs to their own bodies will help them understand wellness and disease processes. The on-line games will make learning this information fun, which is an important aspect of learning today.

The students will learn that becoming a life-long learner can be rewarding.

By using different means of achieving their goals, the students will be able to progress to higher levels of understanding new materials.
