This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
The world of technology is ever-changing. Children are more access to technology than I did as a child. They are engaged and motivated when different types of computers or tablets are involved. I want to be able to use that motivation and engagement to teach my students more!
My classroom has students from a variety of backgrounds (ethnic, social, religious, etc.).
My school is 96% free and reduced price lunch eligible and more than 50% ELL. My students are energetic, enthusiastic, and curious children. They are very interested in technology and how to use it!
My Project
These items will make a difference in the lives of my students because they will give us more authentic, engaging, and practical learning experiences. I will be able to incorporate these iPads in all aspects of the classroom, including centers, literacy and math through games and ebook writing, science exploration, and more.
Children nowadays have access to technology more and more.
In the future, they will have to know how to use and manipulate technology. I want to start getting them ready now by providing technological experiences for them in our everyday classroom life. Currently, we just have 2 computers that work some of the time. So, these iPads would be really beneficial for us!
