This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students love to learn and do not have a lot of materials to help them tell time on an analog clock.

This year I have twenty three amazing third graders.

Every student at our school is on free or reduced lunch and come from a low economic area in urban Phoenix. My class is 100% English language learners. They love to learn and are always excited to discover something new.

My Project

I am requesting a variety of clock materials. Students are required to be able to tell time on analog clocks but they do not have access to many. We will use the materials I am requesting to learn to tell time and find elapsed time. They will each have their own clock to work with as well as larger versions to display in the classroom. We will use them for practice and work in small groups.

As technology advances, there are very few analog clocks left around us.

My student have been struggling to tell time due to this. The clock materials I am requesting will help them to be able to tell time.
